I have applied for a job, what happens next?

Last Updated: Sep 04, 2018 02:20PM BST
When you apply for an open shift on your app, your application will be considered in line with all other workers who have also applied for the shift based on your unique score in the platform. After you have applied for a shift, you should:
  1. Take note of the time that is left for an automated decision to be made using the countdown timer located at the bottom of the job page
  2. If you have been confirmed for the shift, you should make a note of the job location using the map on the app
  3. You should also check the dress code/ uniform you need before attending the shift
If you are no longer able to attend the booking, you will be able to cancel your application using your app.

Please note that BuzzHire's strike cancellation policies apply if you cancel a shift less than 48 hours before the shift start time:

Our strike cancellation policies are as follows:
  • Cancellation made more than 48 hours before shift start = no strikes
  • Cancellation made less than 48 hours before shift start = 1 strike
  • Cancellation made less than 24 hours before shift start = 2 strikes
  • Cancellation made less than 4 hours before shift start = 3 strikes
Your account will automatically be deactivated if you receive 3 (or more) strikes. If you need to cancel a shift, you should do so as soon as you can to give others who are able (and want to work) a chance to apply and be confirmed on the day.
